The Ormiston Road Bridge was designed by Beca and constructed by Fulton Hogan of Auckland. It is the first suspension bridge of its sort built in New Zealand.
The bridge is the gateway to the new suburb of Flat bush in Auckland, New Zealand, that is expected to house around 40,000 people in the next decade.
The steelwork was fabricated by Grayson Engineering and surface treatment was carried out by Gritblast Services of Papakura. It has been zinc metal sprayed, epoxy sealed and finish coated with E~Line 379.
When the bridge was in its final stages the site touch up work was carried out by Cake Commercial Services.
